A Smattering of Productivity Apps

TripDeck is a free iOS app for managing travel plans which allows you to add all of your travel information to “trip cards” including hotel reservations, car rentals, flights, restaurants, meetings and more.  The app gives you easy access to flight check-in times, seat number and confirmation numbers, gate info, baggage claim and airline contact numbers. No wireless connection is needed to access your travel information. Minor drawback: interface is not optimized for iPad..

LemonWallet is a free iOS app that literally puts your wallet on your iPhone.  Simply take pictures of your credit, loyalty, and insurance cards or enter the information manually and the app organizes and stores your cards in an easy to access interface. Boasting bank level security and redesigned password protection that makes Lemon Wallet much safer than carrying your wallet in your purse or back pocket. Great for online shopping and filling out forms requiring personal information.

Lawyer ON Go is an Android app for $19.99 that also offers a free lite version that may be worth trying out first. Designed to work on Android Smartphones and tablets, it is a client, case and event management app designed to assist busy mobile legal professionals with time management. Lets you add, update, delete, search for clients and events, and even send reminders to clients via text, email or phone call via a single tap.

CaseManager is also an Android app and, if reviews of it are valid, should prove to be a good investment for only $20.00. Designed primarily for mobile attorneys with small to medium caseloads, it lets you manage your cases with ease. Includes calendar, contacts, time clock, and case files storage via Dropbox. It boasts cross-platform syncing, whereby it updates content across  all platforms, so if you own an Android tablet and an iPad it will sync changes on both. Now that is very cool!

AllThings is a free app for iPad and iPhone that allows you to easily create simple to-do lists or more complex task management lists for managing projects, and lets you assign tasks to colleagues or friends.

  1. Great list, Cheryl, thanks. Does LemonWallet also manage passwords for all the websites and databases and registrations one must do online? Maybe you’ve covered such apps in previous columns and I don’t recall.
